Everyone dreams 5 or 6 times every night. When research was done on this, it was first noticed that every subject had periods while asleep when their eyes moved rapidly. This is now called REM sleep (rapid eye movement). The researchers found that when they woke a test subject during REM sleep the person reported that they were dreaming. If they woke a subject during some other time, the person reported that they weren't dreaming. So, evidently, if we wake up during REM sleep we know that we had a dream, otherwise, we don't. The researchers also found that if they prevented people from having dreams by waking them up whenever they started to have REM, after 2 or 3 days the people started to go a little nutty, and they had to stop that research project. So, it seems that we need to dream every night to stay healthy, whether we know that we dream or not. You don't say how many times a night you wake up, but if it's more than 2 or 3, or you have trouble getting back to sleep, then maybe you're not sleeping soundly enough and need to look into that. God Bless you and have happy dreams.

It depends on what you dream. I tend to have very indepth dreams that involve a lot of thinking, even when awake the scenarios take a lot of thinking to work them out. This can tire the brain easily. I have always had such dreams and they were always a hinderance to my sleep. I'm told I think way too much as it is, doing it in my dreaming was literally wearing me out. I have had to since be put on amitriptoline {spelling} for a headache I've had since September. It has made me sleep longer, and when I do wake up, go right back to sleep, and my dreams are even less involved. It's great. So only if your dreams are keeping you from sleeping, or wearing out your brain, are they bad. If you find they are doing so, talk to your doctor, there are a number of strategies they can talk over with you that are natural, and might help you get more rest. By the way, having a playful cat while REMing, can quickly make you stop dreaming. LOL My cat every once in a while will playfully swat at my eye while it's moving during REM and make me wake up! I laugh so hard at it, it's hilarious. He bats it so softly. lol

Is It Healthy To Dream

This is perfectly normal. During REM sleep is when you dream. Rapid Eye Movement sleep is when while your eyes are closed, the eyes under their lids are moving rapidly. There is a reason, but I don't know this. When you go into REM sleep is when you fall asleep. During this time you are less likely to be woken up by loud noises. Dreaming every night just means that you...dream a lot :D. Happy dreams.

Most certainly. Dreams is basically just caused by your brain chemistry due to Nonrem and rem cycle.
