Be firm with them and tell them to back off, nicely. If that doesn't work, tell them to back off not so nicely.

Otherwise, bite the bullet and move to another place, further away from them.

You guys are adult enough to actually know how to bring up your own child to what you think is the best for them. Getting a few pointers would be good. You could avoid them by not answering their calls and not opening the door if they come. Tell them straight to their face that you do appreciate them but certain matters just leave it to you. If they cant accept NO for an answer threaten them to bring them to the Family Court to take an PPO against them.

In the first instance, their actions are called being "good parents." In the second instance, their actions are called being "good grandparents." They are your in-laws. They will always be a part of your life. Learn to love them, embrace them, and welcome them to your home, and your child's life. Be thankful your child has a grandparent. Be thankful for everything you have. Life is too precious to spend so much time and energy hating your in-laws. However, you certainly have the right to develop unique strategies to deal with their inappropriate behavior. I suggest you read "Toxic In-Laws." You can purchase the book on Amazon.com
You are certainly not alone when it comes to effectively dealing with in-laws. Learn to play the game, and you both win.

I think iluvcampershoes has the right idea.
If it got to the point where you actually had to move, they would be complete idiots not to get the hint because your wife already ran away from them before!

arggh this is tough. You should have a open conversation with them and make sure your partner is around too. I am sure all can be solved. Do it soon as you cannot avoid them forever..
