Yes this can get infected! And that can be dangerous and life threatening! If the wound is throbbing and oozing something, you need to make sure that you take good care of it. (Throbbing and oozing will happen if you are taking good care of it, you could totally be doing the right thing... I just want to make sure that you are)
Make sure that it's clean. Bandaids and neosporin might be a good idea if you are a person that likes to use them. (Obviously don't use neosporin if it's bad for you personally)
Try to keep it elevated, that might help with both the throbbing and the oozing and to decrease any swelling.
Consult a physician if there is discoloration or swelling (especially if the swelling extends to the ankle).
Consult a physician immediately if you develop a fever.
If the condition worsens, make sure you see someone. If new flesh has already formed, you should be getting better, not worse.

Yes it can. Put on anti-bacteria ointment. Use any of these to treat from infection: Anti-bacterial skin cleanser, Polysporin, etc,. Then apply a band-aid, try to use a band-aid that is really big so that it can stay on and won't fall off.

it probably is. Pus discharge is a sign of infection, where your white blood cells are fighting the germs. If chlorhexidine cream doesnt work, go see a doctor and get a diagnosis

Yes! but if you just hurt it then of course it will pulseate! Clean it out with soap and water and put a bandaid in it will hurt but trust me this helps keep out infection! Also if it does hurt after a few days get it checked!

OH yeah....if you are in a lot of pain, you might want to consider going to something like a after hours medical clinic or the ER.
