If you have given a child up for adoption, and the parents signed a contract that they would send pics, & a letter once a year, but don't, do you have any options? Is there a way to enforce that contract?

I don't believe there is anything you can do. I am seeking to adopt and once heard from a lawyer that I should agree to pics, visits, etc to get the parents to sign... and that nothing like that is really enforceable. If I agree to that... I would do it. But, there are some people that don't want communication after the adoption.

Good luck!!!

If you have a contract, I believe you may have some grounds. But would probably need legal assistance to enforce the contract.
However, perhaps not enough time has gone by. Has it been a year? You may need to recoup from the emotional toll of birth and giving up your child. Turn to your family for support. Seek any mode of assistance that will bring you some comfort.
Very best wishes for you.......

things like this tick me off! If the Adoptive parents agree to do something then they should do it!

As for you, try to contact the Attorney, Agency or Social Worker you dealt with and tell them what's going on, I've seen them step in and get situations taken care of.

Good Luck!

Be patient, maybe they will feel more secure as time goes by & feel more comfortable contacting you.
