emo is a collective term used to describe people who cry a lot and cut themselves, that sorta thing. Try wikipedia, they got a good article. Also listen to the emo kid song. Its funny and kinda hits the nail on the head.

emo is short for emotional which is kids in around junuior high to high school thats a step under goth like wear tight jeans eye liner but they dont worship satan (some do) but some even cut themselves
