Neil Young, Steven Stills (I think) and others who went on to fame were in that group. But I believe that band only had this one hit. And what a hit. Still gets air time on radio and in movies and TV. Most people think of it as "Stop, hey, what's that sound" or something like that. Anyone remember a second bona fide hit from that tragic band, or have a better one?

I realize Buffalo Springfield had several albums and even had a best of album. There were many fans and they got airtime, but I really don't think they had another bona fide hit. Crosby Stills Nash & Young had quite a few hits, but that is not the same band.

I expected Iron Butterfly with Inna Godda Davida (whatever the hell that meant) from someone ... Macarena seems to have died a wonderful and blissful death. The Buffalo Springfield song seems to keep showing up in movies, on air time ... it is a sound that lets you know it is 1968 all over again. It has withstood the tes of one-hit-wonder time. There were some other great ones mentioned.

Actually, Best of Buffalo Springfield (which has For What It's Worth) has Sit Down, I think I love You, Bluebird, Nowadays Clancy can't even sing, I am a child, and Kind Woman -- so I wouldn't call them a one-hit wonder, although they were a short-lived group.

Mickey (by Toni Basil)
Band-Aid: Do They Know It's Christmas?
Summertime Blues (Blue Cheer)
Fooled Around and Fell In Love (Elvin Bishop)
You Light Up My Life (Debby Boone)
I Love the Night Life (Alicia Bridges)
etc.

now and again, i'd accept as true with you, yet Neil youthful, Stephen Stills, Richie Furay and Jim Messina, all used Buffalo Springfield to launch some particularly effective careers. it really is why they are o.k. huge-spread, between followers of the '60's and 70's human beings rock scene. They were area of, or inspired, Crosby, Stills, Nash and youthful; p.c..; Loggins and Messina, Neil youthful and loopy Horse, Byrds, And their individuals had connections with many different bands. (Stevem Stills tried out for the "Monkees" and replaced into grew to develop into down?) ignore all the thumbs down i'd be getting over the subsequent few hours/days, I actually have some trolls with distinct IDs following me round, giving each thing I say a thumbs down, or violating me, because they don't like the theory that i imagine that musicians, artists, and writers could be paid., for his or her time, skills, and paintings. edit I see that the trolls are better interested in giving me thumbs down. than in giving a competent answer? So unhappy.
