I think your question(s) are good, but too long and deep to answer here.

Getting to accept and appreciate the differences in the world are key steps. Becoming aware of our our own biases and how they came to be is a start to overcoming them.

IT IS CAUSED through socialization and education. People learn to hate. To stop it, we must all re-educate people..... Is it an impossible task?

History has proven that there always has been and there always will be differences between races. Impact of racial discrimination: First of all let us try to decipher what you mean by racial discrimination. Do you mean equal opportunity? There was a time when all americans had an equal opportunity. However, those rights have been erroded by the civil rights act, affirmative action, which is another way of defining quotas, along with many other liberal laws enacted under the guise of equality. Remember when you legislate special privilages to one group you are excluding others whom are not members of those special interest groups. Yes, there was a time when people of certain races were discriminated against. However, enacting laws only masked the real problem. The laws of equality are in the constitution. Therefore, enacting additional laws only highlighted the fact that the authorities were not enforcing the law of the land. Now we have moved so far to the right, that we are now discriminating against another group. How can we stop discrimination? Repeal conflicting laws and enforce the constitution of the United States Of America. However, as God saw fit to make us of different colors, gender, and yes even sexual preferences, we must realize that there will always be differences amoung us. Wars have been fought over discriminaion. Japan discriminated against the United States when they attacked Pearl Harbor. Wasn't that Yellow against White? Look at the current situation in N. Korea; again isn't that another faction of yellow against white? We could go on with this history lesson and I can show many instances of white against black and black against white. Even Arabs against blacks, Arabs against Persians, Pakistanis against Indians, Skinny against fat, young against old, and vice versa ! The Arabs were the original slave traders. They went into the jungles of africa and recruited blacks to capture blacks for the slave trade. Discrimination? We will never stop it. Just hope that we can somehow control it;. If you want to blame someone, blame God for making us different colors, genders, sizes and shapes. Oh yes !! I guess we should condemn him for allowing us to have different thoughts.

racial discrimination are usually causes by inferiority complex of a person who that particular race out done him. And he is not willing to accept the fact.
Blood shred in some country for what i know. Hey we are all human being , made from flesh and blood. just different color that's all.
The only way is through educational programme and every governments from all countries should be involved.
If Singapore can do it , i don't see why others can't. It's just a matter of effort and time . "peace on earth" ('~')

I wish I knew, you see, I'm a puerto rican living in the states but grew up in Puerto Rico. I never quite knew such a thing existed until I left and came to the U.S. Back home, if you walk down a street, it will appear that you are looking at all kinds of people; whites, blacks, indians, orientals, far eastern types, but we're all puerto ricans, one race! I can't begin to tell you the traumatic experiences I went through when I mistook everyone here as being the same race. I've had fights, been scorned, discriminated against, been jumped, incarcerated out of a hateful accusation and was almost murdered at one point. So I came here as a loving and kind person and now I leave as a hateful and resentful person.

The CAUSE:
Simple - the parents and family of ignorant schoolkids who then grow up to be - you guessed it - just like their parents! It is caused by jealousy and ignorance. Jealousy of people who work hard and reap the rewards of their success - racists try to take this away every which way possible! Ignorance of other societies and cultures breeds contempt [ref 1]

The IMPACT:
Rasicm is a form of bullying and harrassment. It often leads to psychological and emotional problems at some stage in the victims life. This can lead to feelings of unworthiness . . . and possibly suicide. Rasicm is therefore a very serious issue! It also has an impact on society [see ref 2 by way of example].

How to STOP it:
Education to build up a respect for other cultures. Trips to places of religious worship and cultural centres. This all comes under the umbrella term DIversity Awareness which I believe should be an integral part of all our lives. See ref 3. for excellent ways to stop the spread of rasicm in schools, community and the workplace.

It's too simple.
We say everyone is equal in the law.
Then we say anyone can teach their kids anyway they want, as long as it doesn't break the law. We then elimate all national holidays which are not about America.
Cinco de Mayo? Out.
Martin Luther King, gone.
Presidents day? Yes.
Memorial Day? You bet.
Then take all the days a person would be off, (like the ones above). If it matters enough to them, then they can use their religious/race/culture/personal holidays for that. If they need more days, then they can use their vacation days.
Protest? That is anti-American unless it is a Union.
Sounds terrorist activity to me.

Simple isn't it? Nobody is special under law. You hire (and fire) any legal citizen you want, and enforce our current laws in accorance with illegal activities, such as aliens and their accomplanices.

wel way back in time, when americans came to the (now refered to)= United States of Amerinca, it wasn't like now-a-days. they, needed people to work the lands, and they didnt have that much racial matters, except in there other lands. like, germans think their the dominant race,(holocaust), and austria hungary think there better than everyone, with germanies help(WW1), and all. but it wasnt everywhere. but it began to spread as we exploreed new places. like slaves, americans used indian, but they new the land too well and disappeared easily, and some spanyards, when in a crowd they blended in, so they used africans bc there color, so they could run afar. and thats when discrimination for the black community began, and by that time, everyone where having discrimination against one another, bc they fought to be the supreme race, better than all the rest. does that saticfy your fist and second question, if not IM me and i will explain it more. as for the third, we have tried and there are still, racial discrimination. a huge matter is our kids, a big impact you can do is to raise your kids to see character and not color, and the community will change within time. like people say, the future lies within us, and the next generation...

Racism refers to various belief systems maintaining that humans can be separated into various groups based on physical attributes and that these groupings determine or influence cultural or individual achievement or the essential value of human beings.

The word "racism" itself appeared in the 1930s, both in the English language and in French. This can lead to hostility against individuals based on a perceived or ascribed "race". Racism often includes the belief that people of different races differ in aptitudes and abilities, such as intelligence, physical prowess, or virtue. Most individuals who use the concept of racial categories believe that different races can be placed on a ranked, hierarchical scale. By definition one who practices racism is known as a racist.

The causes of discrimination hmm: Let's take black people for now, we discriminate against them because of their thug apparel, the acting gangster, being in a gang, no responsibility for their kids..etc.

Arabs: they flew planes into American buildings and killed Americans, they smell like curry - bad, you can't understand them.

Mexicans like blacks will steal, however the Mexicans have better work ethic.

Today there is only one type of racial discrimination...discrimination against whites in favor of minorities. This is both inappropriate and illegal.
