That attempt definitely crossed the line.....but why didn't the French players contest it? They could've won the game...

there was one really good camera angle that showed the ball clearly crossed the line...like 2 feet over the ine.

well I agree with you but again it was too close and since the rules of the games are not as close as rules in cricket therefore, Korea took the advantage and equalize the game . Bad luck for French team and their fans !

The lack of a good camera angle (overhead camera, perhaps?) was frustrating. France should be the biggest proponents for putting a chip in the footballs so that goals can be electronically registered. That said, I'm not convinced that the ball COMPLETELY crossed the line. The keeper was over the line, and it looked like the ball hit him in the belly, but he didn't seem to be so far back into goal that the ball would have completely crossed the line.

I'm a S.Korea fan. By watching the replay I would say that to me, personally, that was a goal. I wish they would show other replays from a better angle though. I guess no one in the game was sure if that ball went over the line. I was shocked that the french didn't even tried to argue with the ref. Maybe because it all happened so fast. Even Vieira himself just played on afterwards.
The S.Koreans never gave up and it paid off. 1 precious point for the game!!!! Yes !!!

I think that France was robbed when that dumb coach was put in place. To select Zidane would be like selecting Maradonna for the Argentinian team.Zidane can not move anymore,He is not useful anymore. The idiot coach puts Trezeguet in with 40 seconds left.Whether or not the goal was validated is not the point. As you pointed out the French players were too sleepy to contest it. Anyway do you really think that the ref would have changed the call ???
To be born a Frenchman is like to be a Boston redsox fan .I am just glad that I saw them win it in my lifetime but i know that it will not happen again anytime soon...

Yes, the French players should have protested. But more important thing is the reaction of the French players when the ball went in. They had to act like they got a goal, but the players were too sleepy and they thought they could get another one at any time.

definitely. The French shoulda won that one. But that's just unfortunate. Now they're gonna be 2nd seed in their group instead of 1st. Korea is comin out on top. I don't think they even thought twice abt it b\c the line judge didn't seem to care. It was still a pretty good game though

Yes. The ball was clearly past the line. You can see it in the replays. The South Korean's leg was inside the goal zone.
