The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series cuz it shows that a pair of pants cant be the answer to friendship but can help the friends find the real friendship within each other.

The Harry Potter series cuz the books might show things that can never happen with all the magic and stuff but Rowling is trying to teach people that even through the toughest times you have to be strong not just for yourself but also for the others around you.

and finally The Shadow Children series by Margarat Peterson Haddix cuz people shouldnt be outcasted cuz their a third child and the law forbid them to be alive...these books taught not to be mean to anyone no matter who they are

The Prophet of Yonwood by Jean DuPrau
In this book, everyone's at the brink of destruction. There's this 'prophet', and she was mumbling about the end of the world, b/c she saw it in a vision and everyone thought it was a 'message from God' or something. So, when she said 'No Music" She meant that the world wouldn't have music once it was gone, but they thought she meant there should be no music to save their souls, so no one could listen to music or anything. Then, she went on, saying other things, like 'No lights' 'No birds' then she eventually got to dogs. It was sooooo sad to watch Nikki loose her dog b/c of Amanda, and then she got soooo mad at the Prophet that she woke her up and everything was better! I like it. It shows that one person, even a 12 year old , can change the course of a town and alot of other morals. But the most important one is that no matter how hard you try, NO ONE'S PERFECT, SO FORGET ABOUT MAKING A WGOLE TOWN PERFECT!:)

The most inspiring book I have ever read was "A prayer For Owen Meaning" by John Irving. It changed my life around how to deal with people with challenges in their lives. I cried, laughed and cheered by the lead character Owen Meaning. He was a champion of life and all what you are able to do with and be the best you can be. I love this novel and all novels by John Irving...I can't wait for him to publish new books.

Count of Montecristo by Alexander Dumas. Its about a young French sailor who was unjustly imprisoned for 14 years before he escapes and ultimately takes revenge on his enemies. The author did a great job describing the emotions of the prisoner.Disbelief, denial, self pity, madness, apathy and finally hope.Thos book gave me the courage to go on when I was close to quitting a number of times.

I liked The five People You'll Meet in Heaven too. It's been a long time(high school), but I remember Jonathan Livingston Seagull was pretty good.

7 Storey Mountain by Thomas Merton. I'm not religous but I found Merton's descriptions of his search for meaning in his own life to be amazingly inspiring, even though his belief system is not my own. He manages to speak about his chosen religion without making the reader feel as though they are lacking or less for having other beliefs.
