That likely indicates your email program, I'm assuming it's Outlook Express, has high set security features that block loading .jpeg or .jpg images.

Solutions to this problem can be found for FREE at www.suggestafix.com

When you start an account there and are ready to pose your question, post it under the Windows version you're running. Also have handy stuff like the Windows version, Outlook Express version.....and someone will help clear up this annoying problem.

The red X usually means that your computer cannot display the image. It could be because of a problem on your end (a program that needs updating) or a problem on the end of the person who sent you the image. If your computer can display some images but not all, try to see if you can isolate which images come up as a red X and see what they have in common. That will help you figure out the problem.

The picture is either linked to the wrong location, or the picture has caused an error in your browser

You can try to right click it and hit "Show Picture"

you may't fix it. It occurs at the same time as someone inserts/links to a record someplace and then the picture receives moved and the link no longer works. The originator has to fix the region.

maybe you have the graphics turned off? try right-clicking and select "show picture" from the menu.

also it's possible that you have to download the images.. yahoo email will have a link at the bottom describing what they are and if you can download them separately, etc.

hope that helps

If you are using Outlook, there is a setting "to display pics". Clk around on the top toolbar and look at the settings options. (sorry, I forget exactly what it is as I use Netscape)
