Yes. Went to dinner tonight and the waitress said, "Happy Father's Day!" My dad has been gone for years and my husband is not a father and never met his own. I think it is a nice wish for the waitress to make if we had been with kids or an older man than us, but it was very obvious my husband was not old enough to be my dad so I thought it was kind of thoughtless. My Mom hasn't been gone that long so it is even worse on Mother's Day. I try to stay home that day so I don't have to hear these thoughtless, but well meaning wishes as I have to fight the tears. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better, brighter day for you.

Oh yes, we had a crappy Fathers Day, I feel bad for my husband, he ended up having to stay at home with our little ones while I went to work. I couldn't even afford to make him a nice dinner. I always feel bad for him on Fathers day because his kids from a previous marriage live in a different city and they never call or email him. (It is against their religion so I can't blame them they are young.) You responded to one of my questions and I am sure that you are a good Father figure. It is hard being a stepparent. Hang in there, you might make a huge difference.

oh yea. it really sucked. everything that could wrong did , think dads need more than just one fathers day huh, you have these kids an raise them they have all year an no it fathers dad, but to them thats just another day, they cannt take the time out to set this one day aside an make you feel special, but when its over an they need money are a babysitter, are use of the car i will remind them of this day i was hurt an still am

I am not a father so I'm not having a bad day for that reason. But, I havent spoken with my dad in a little while so I am a little bummed about that.

Only got to see my daughter for a couple of hours and she was asleep most of the time. Then I had to go to work. No cards, no breakfast, and no presents on my first Father's Day, it sucked.

I miss my dad i have wonderful memory . I alright .I would love to see my dad .he's in my heart to day and every day.
