I was at a party about 7 yrs ago and this girl was so drunk, she smacked herself with the beer bottle. Her front tooth broke in half, well us being just as drunk decided to use fingernail glue to put it back together. It worked and she got it fixed a few days later. It held up, but the best part was coming out of the bathroom going "Okay nobody laugh"

You really don't have a case. Usually what happens when a tooth suddenly breaks is this was the result of a crack which ocurred some time before and weakened the tooth. Things like chewing on ice cubes can cause stress fractures in teeth, and while they might not break right away, what always seems to happen is they break when you bite into something soft, like a marshmallow. When your tooth broke while eating the stuff you got from the restaurant, the liklihood is that it was not the thing you ate from the retaurant that actually broke the tooth - it was already broken - the tooth just happened to fall apart at that time. A more plausible explanation is that some time before, weeks or even months, you somehow hit your tooth with something which caused a crack, but at the time you thought nothing of it. From that point on it was just a matter of time before it broke off. I've had a few teeth break and it was always when eating something soft.

im missing like bit over half my front tooth. Just dont smile lol. go to a dif dentist then. Even withotu the chip they can put this stuff on and makes it look jsut like the tooth. People cant tell im missing half of it. Its a simple procedure. call a normal dentist up and ask. I dont think it was exspencive at all either.

Go to a different dentist. That is ridiculous. My best friend once chipped her front tooth in half while banana boating with me in Florida and she had it fixed the next day. Go to a different dentist even!

I wouldn't mess with trying to fix it myself she could make a bigger mess. I can't believe she isn't in any pain, she might be before two weeks is up if it breaks anymore and exposes the nerve. She needs to check the yellow pages for an emergency dentist. Surely they have one.

She needs to call a dentist and tell them it is an emergency. two weeks is ridiculous! Most dentists will get an emergency patient in right away even on weekends. She will pay through the nose but they will get her in fast.

does she still have the chip? i've seen glue stuff just for that at safeway. i've also seen emergency repair kits for teeth (like if you have a cavity) until you can get to the dentist. but i don't know if it's white colored or what, saw that at rite aid.
