Hello. I'm 20 years old. I love to be online or at my computer. The only thing I do is get on the computer and check out web site. I can sit at my computer for 24 hours a day. My family saids that I spend WAY too much time on the computer. But I'm going to college for computer science. Can somebody tell me symptoms of this? Do you have any web site to help with computer, e-mail, web addiction?

is it conflicting your natural process of life?? if so then yes.
if you do it in all of your free time, than i don't really see it as a problem. but if you have stopped doing other things to do it..than yes. you do.

Hi, i am 18. believe me, i have the same problem, only i spend 25 hour a day. i think that i spend that much of time because i want to escape the enviroment that surrounds me. Maybe i want to be worry-free. Do you feel the same way?? In any way, i know the computer is cool, but i also know that the eyes are GREATLY affected by the computer. I already wear glasses. How about you? I suggest these things for you and me:
1-try to find a sport that you really like to keep you away from the computer.
2-do you have a best friend? Try spending time with them.
3-Here is another way that works for me sometimes: unplug all the wires of the comupter. Take the keyboard away and the mouse. and the speakers as well. So, when you want to get into the computer next time, you will feel lazy to plug all the wires back.
4-if there is a park near by, USE it. I learned that the nature is MUCH cooler than a plain PC.
Finally, it's all about our health. But i am not saying do not use the computer. I am saying that we can try to use it LESS.
Hope this gave you at least a tiny help. Take Care, and don't forget: we can survive a day without a computer.....

Yes, I do too. The best way to get rid of the computer addiction is to stop using the computer so much...join a club, go to the movies with your friends, party, or read a book. If you keep your mind off the computer, and if you're not bored, then you won't want to get on the Internet. Good luck!

lol..I dont mean to laugh but asking for a website to help with your internet addiction just shows that you have one. I think you do have one. what helped me is going on trips..I went on a trip where I was outside for a week without the computer..it was hard but it gets easier. I think also limiting your time on the computer is good too.Tell yourself you can only spend 2 hours and then get off..cause you know you can go back the next day

flow out which contain your acquaintances. locate cousins and set up situations to flow out to a bar or basically out to the movies. some thing to get you out of the domicile and with people back. whether you haven't any longer talked to them in awhile, a great sort of the time people you have been as quickly as close to to would be keen to spend time with you back. shrink your self on the pc. save a log of while your on. Slowly rigidity your self to play much less. in case you play 4 hours an afternoon now. Slowly flow down in a million/2 hour increments. probable having one hour of game play time an afternoon, 4 to 5 situations each and every week does not be almost as risky.

An addiction isn't an addiction until it interferes with your life in such a way that you would rather be with what you are addicted to than with those you love.
