He seems to be doing alright. He handles things pretty well, I would say he is a normal governor but more famous.

Better than most. Although he has let "special interests" influence him to some point, he has governed better than his predecessor Davis. He has established no additional car tax, is close to bringing the state budget back from a deficit, has put the national guard reserve to good use on the border, created 500,000 new jobs and has finally been fair to the majority of current state workers' demands.

He could improve if he somehow addresses the state's rising education costs, how to recruit nurses to CA, and how he plans to keep CA from going back into deficit during his next term if elected.

Yes he is; California is a corrupt state with its elected leaders owned by powerful labor unions (Teachers, Correctional Peace Officers, Nurses, and other public employee groups (and private employee groups)). Arnold is not beholden to these groups or anyone else due to his own worth.

His predecessor was taken out in a recall election, first in modern history, and all because he sold out to the unions and nearly bankrupted the state. We now have a $7 billion surpluss.

Effective? He has turned into a Girlyman on immigration. He used to want a wall, now he is saying that would be Neanderthal. He is moving so far left I wish I had someone else to vote for. However, I guess he knows Republicans would all think Angelides is worse. It is hard to get excited about him now, though.

he's about as effective as a governer as he was as a actor. he tried inflicting mandatory overtime on health care workers and fought the patient to medical staff ratio in hospitals. it's just proof that politics is alot of acting and scripts. i did like his response to the tookie williams issue and i was surprised he didn't relent to the hollywood liberal actors set.
