Hi my mimosa tree will not flower out. It is only about 2 years old getting pretty big and starting to spread out but no pretty flowers. I read somewhere there where male mimosas also? How can I tell if mine is a male? I have been waiting so long to see and smell the pretty pink flowers now what if it never flowers??? Thanks to all. Me C

Having had a mimosa tree, I can tell you that when those pretty pink flowers fall off the tree, they make a slimy mess. I was glad when the tree died.

If the mimosa is healthy and it does not flower try giving a fertilizer high in phophorus. Also called Super Blooms if no flowers pop then its male.
