gary oldman. no actor ever came close to portraying dracula so passionately. though i've watched several movies on the vampire, this dracula movie was the firs one where i became sympathetic to the character, albeit being terrified of him.
can't include bella lugosi coz he acted in mostly silent movies.

I'd have to agree, with "millimarti"!
Gary Oldman's performance, in "Bram Stoker's DRACULA", gave a "sympathetic view", of The Count, for having lost his true love -- only then, to find her, reincarnated, centuries later!
One thing that stood out, for me, was that they didn't just make him a monster.... You got to see the man -- before, during, and after -- he was the monster!
....And his "final" wish {"Give me... peace."} was one, of the most, memorable moments, in the movie -- for he'd, finally, found what he'd been looking for -- all of his life!

Well, Gary Oldman of course! I liked him with the long hair and the top hat and sun glasses.
