i recieved an e-mail with no subject, no return address, and presumably no content. another friend of mine who uses yahoo got the same one. has anyone else recieve this? and who knows what it is?

leave it alone!
mark it as spam and yahoo will note it (probably do nothing with that "note") and delete it

It isn't Malicious on your part...but the e-mail most certainly could be malicious in nature. I would suggest that if you receive an e-mail from an unknown sender or someone you don't know to just delete it immediately and don't open it. I know some people feel they would possibly miss something important by doing this. Now honestly how often have you received something important from someone you didn't know or where the sender was unknown?

Well, hackers usually wouldn't advertise their attack on you. But just to be safe, update your virus definitions, run virus scan and then a spyware tool.

There are a lot of bad people out there.

I would be inclined to say that it is either spam or spyware. Run it through your antivirus before you open it. Other than that delete it.

Now, what you may do is activate ALL headers and you can see where the message really came from

I would suggest avoiding this message in its entirety
