On a serious note , choosing just one person is really a difficult task as history of this world is blessed with lots . Maybe Galileo......the world called him mad for his opinions & we all know who came out victorious . So , want to thank him for his theories .

If I could talk to any historic figure, it would be Malcolm X. I never even knew much about him until a few years ago when I picked up the autobiography that Alex Haley wrote with him: all I had heard about him was vague and negative.
But then I read the book. I must say, it was a revolution and a revelation, that book, about how much one human being can change their belief systems in one short life, and how much that one person can affect change in other people's belief systems in their lives, even when that person has passed on in body. When Malcolm X was taken in body from this plane, he was just really starting to see how people treat each other in other cultures and in other religions. He had only been cognizant for a short while that the Black Muslims of America's teachings were not all aligned with actual Muslim teachings--and some out of alignment in a very disturbed way. I would like to hear what he had to say about what he thinks of things now--from the American Black Muslim movement to the way we treat each other here in America to these wars overseas we're in the middle of now. .

Hannibal Barca

I would ask him how did he beat the Romans and why did he seem to give up. I believe that he was a patriot of his nation when so many of his countrymen were not. I would love to talk tactics with this man. I believe in his prime he was far and away the greatest tactical administrator of all time. The fact that the Romans spoke so highly of him in such a negative way tells history just how close they came to not existing as an Empire.

Hard to answer ... Thomas Jefferson certainly comes to mind as does Ben Franklin and Abe Lincoln. There are many others - maybe Cicero from ancient Rome, or Socrates, Aristotle. Jesus ought to be right up there, too, but I guess I can talk to him now.

julius ceasar. There is speculation that he knew of the conspiracy to kill him and that because of his embarrasment at the limitations of his age and ill health he wanted someone to kill him. I'd like to know if this is true.
