From the age of 5; I always deemed one either for my name or my mixed heritage.
My father is white from Port Arthur,TX and my mother is from Matehuala, Mexico.
My unusual name both first and last got me in lots of trouble. My mixed heritage kept me from being fully accepted by white society. I look hispanic, but I speak very good english. It throws people off that are white because I don't look white. It throws mexicans off because my spanish is not so good and english very good.
Mexicans do not care that I am half white. White people look at me as halfbreed and do no want their daughters near me. I am not very handsome, but it does give me pause that some white women look past me almost all of the time.
I am a likeable person. I have no criminal record. I am kind to others.
I hope to see a day when this goes away, but given the current immigration issues in US, I am not holding my breath.
Prejudice is an old concept and so long as it exists a man and a woman of different worlds will very rarely meet and have a beautiful life together.

I have always felt like I was different from everyone else. Growing up I never showed my feelings and never reached the happiness all my peers expressed. I never felt like anyone understood me and I didn't let anyone close to me. I was too afraid I suppose. I was this way until I was 17 and met my now fiance. He showed me that I was not the only one out there who felt this way or was this way. I must say that I am more open to other people, but I still often feel like I am different, except now its ok, because I have my honey to share with.

I've always been a weird guy who did weird, arguably stupid things. Not like illegal, violent stupid things but just random things. In high school everyone thought I was a huge pothead because of it and I only smoked 2 times in my life in junior high. I let people think what they wanted because I didn't care and the people who I would want to be in my life would be the people who got to know me instead of judging me. And we all know that no one EVER got judged in high school, right?! Ha. Anyway, there's life after high school. That's what teenagers need to remember these days. When you graduate and move on, it's a positive thing.

Yup. All the time. I truly believe it is because I see things from a different perspective than most people and they have a hard time relating. I have recently found out that I have a high IQ. Perhaps the same is with you? Most colleges offer testing.
