What brand of purse if better? Coach, LV, Prada, DB ?

If I am going to slurge on a trendy brand name bag right now, which brand is the hottest?

I think brand is secondary to design. You need to figure out what type of bag do you like - tote, shoulder, hand carry, what? Then you need to figure out your budget. The 4 brands you named have very different price range.

If it's your first bag/purse, I'd say go with Coach - they make good (good worksmanship) and cool stuff and it's at great value too.

I like Louis Vuitton too, but they tend to be copied and sold as fakes - so it may be insulting to see someone else carrying the same bag as you but at a fraction of the price you paid.

Prada - I don't really like their stuff - so little design (black bag? Com'on, everyone can do that) but still so expensive. Yes the worksmanship may be good but I think it's overrated and you're just paying for the triangular logo.

COACH!! I LOVE IT!! The bags are so girly and cute. I think for teenagers Coach is the best choice. It has vivid colors, and textures. Unlike, LV, they are affordable and they are just so stylish. LV is more for "grown" people, it is not that cute. It's big bulky and i am just not a fan of them. I own about 20 coach purses and i love all of them..

I think that Louis Vuitton is overplayed. I personally think that Coach bags look like something my grandma would carry, and Dooney and Bourke is more like Lindsay Lohan with the bright paint splashed across the sides. So I would go Prada.

I have them all straight from Madison, 6th Ave, Park, & 5th Ave retailers. If you're going to spend that sort of money, you should go directly to the retailer brand or the retailer brand outlet.

I've seen so many women walk into the retailer only to be told their bag is not authentic.

I'm a NY girl. Coach makes the most durable and affordable handbags for commute & travel. Get the textured leather because the smooth will get scratched on the subway/bus/taxi/transit.

I especially love their vintage travel duff. Its flown all over the world with me. Zipper just died after 15 yrs...overstuffing my fault.

With that being said, typically women don't spend money on durability. They spend it on signature show...hence Chanel is Queen!

Girl I am a guy and I love my Louis Vuitton Messenger Bag and MY Chanel Bag, but any way go with a classic bag like Coach or the Louis Vuitton,but make sure you go into an authorized dealer who sells you the real deal with the paper work and all.

I don't know about trendy, but if you get a vintage leather Coach bag, it will last forever. I bought a Kate Spade once, and it fell apart in less than 6 months, with regular use.

Go with Louis Vuitton...and never abrieviate it again. If you can't afford a louis vuitton bag, go with Coach, but I'm a big fan of the Louis bags.
