No. I don't think the thousands of people who are homeless are "milking it". Have you been to New Orleans? Have you seen how devastated it still is? I know you said a yes or no would suffice, but I think this question is really making light of a terrible tragedy.

i agree with you it has been too long that they are showing on TV about Katrina, yes it was a horrible disaster and every one is sorry for the people that lost their loved ones and had their homes destroyed but who cares! it's been too long and it's getting me bored!
that is what this question sounds like.
i understand that it has been long that Katrina came and left, but many people still are suffering!
So even if you cant take it any more others want to know what happend to the people caught in it .
and if you didn't get the message:
I DO NOT AGREE!!

I have relitives that were hit head on. and yes, after watching the news and listining to them, I think we can all agree that they are still complaining way too much. however I must also agree that there is still some work to be done... but as far as "preventing" it from happening again goes: 1: don't build a town below the sea level AND next to the ocian. 2: most of the affected people were people that refused to evacuate, did you pay attention to the news before hand? one of them even said "...I'm just gunna get some pizza and ride it out, and I might grab some friends and watch a movie..."

I live in Oklahoma and I've survived through the April 19 bombing and the May 3rd tornado. Things like this ARE a big deal.
And no matter what you say you are making light of it. A lot of lives were lost and that is something people cannot forget about.

i'm agnostic, leaning probable in route of atheist, and Iwould in no way even convey it up if i did not ought to witness the damage and tear faith brings to the international anytime I turn on the records or see the way it helps associates and family individuals individuals to proceed in weak self rightious habit of their own lives. So, i attempt to be a voice of reason, yet i comprehend that is continuously a unnecessary excercise because faith is a competent pick for any such enormous quantity of human beings and the majority are basicially intellectually disinterested and in simple terms believe inspite of they were instructed to as a baby. i imagine the bickering comes from the sadness that those human beings that imagine as antagonistic to blindly believing and the phobia of dropping their crutch that the non secular experience at the same time as confronted. that is probable unnecessary to bicker, yet often times it does relieve stress.

NO!
This needs to be discussed ... the priorities of the nation are elsewhere while a disaster like this occurred on our soil. We need to find out how it happened so we will not let it occur again. Unfortunately, truly dealing with it and finding out takes a very long time. Please be patient.
