The best supplement, is found in fresh food. Not pills, or processed and canned foods.

Suppliments are never an excuse for a good diet. You can get all of the nutrients you need can be found in a balanced diet. A multivitamin such as centrum complete is good, because it will fill any gaps you might have in your diet, without the excess amounts becoming toxic. Most other vitamins are useless. What I mean is, that there are two types of vitamins, water soluble and fat soluble. When there are amounts of these vitamins in excess of the upper tolerable level in your body, the particular vitamin is usually excreted in urine. However, when there are fat soluble vitamins in excess of the upper tolerable level in your body, they can become toxic and cause injury and/or death. You should always consult your doctor before taking any supplements, but you should do quite well with a balanced diet and a multivitamin. By the way, I loved my nutrition class last semester!
