I think at this point in our journey it is imparative for the two to be linked. Art is beauty in the eye of the beholder, and I definetely see beauty in technology. Also, I think a point easily made would be the infusion of art into technology. You can't really seperate the two, nor are they on the same plane to directly compare. They are accents to each other.

Technology. I love art, and support artistic endeavor. But if any person ponders your question realistically, I believe that they would have to support the notion of science and technology furthering the human condition more in this day and age. I think that art has elevated mankind in the past, and possibly will do so again, but this is technology's day.

The way I see it, art and technology are beginning to blur lines. Everything from cell phones to cars to even movies use the most cutting-edge tech we can develop.

The same way that we look back on paintings that were made centuries ago, we will look back centuries from now at our movies, computers, cars, etc. and future generations will judge us by the things we made and destroyed.

They will want to know why we made slim, pretty cell phones, but allowed millions to die of AIDS. They will want to know why we listened to music on satellite radio and drove cars with navigation systems, while at the same time, we allowed poor countries to starve to death and commit acts of genocide.

Technology, as pretty as it is, is the sign of decadence. We could create things to save lives, but instead we make pretty shiny things to please ourselves while untold millions waste away.

At this particular point in the human journey, life is more important than either art or technology. But we are too busy with our toys to see that.

what ever was the technology ....etc that has resulted in us "advanced" humans, it's only man's imagination that has brought us here.

right from the first discovery / invention , say fire / wheel to the most advanced stuff available, it was all driven by imagination that something coul be done

so , it's imagination !!!
