Start off with a good cleanser that has a toner in it, with a moistruizer. If you have pimples, get some good acne cream. Dont get stridex pads or anything like that, but something to put on your pimples at night.

Lol, girl, all u need is a Wal-Mart, or a Walgreens, or a CVS...even a grocery store...and at most maybe 20 bucks...AT MOST.
The formula is this: cleanser, toner (or astringent), and moisturizer. Cleanser...see what works. If you have oily skin, you can find specific products for that need. Neutrogena's Oil-Free Facial Wash (that orange stuff) works good on a day-to-day basis.
The toner should be fragrance free if you have sensitive skin...and just about any of those will do. If you don't have the astringent...a little alcohol will do for a little while (I wouldn't use it for too long, it can hurt your face).
For the moistrurizer (which yes, i did spell wrong, and yes, you do need even if your face is oily) make sure it has some sunscreen, and is not oil-based, which will clog your pores and make even more blemishes.
I hope this works for you. I have a tight budget too..those acne systems were eating up my money. I went the simple route, and I have the skin to back it up! :) Good luck.

Major way to clear skin: keep your skin scrupulously clean! That is not an insult at all, because it's harder than it seems. First use a great cleanser, then a really good astringent and follow by a nice moisturizer. The key is, this needs to happen a few times per day. Most importantly, never, ever sleep in your make-up!
I like the Neutrogena astringent which is just a few bucks at Wal-Mart or Target. It works really well, and keeps down acne. I just take a cotton ball and wipe my face a couple times a day, even if I don't have time for a "big clean." I know it works because if I STOP doing it, my skin begins to have blemishes.
Good luck!

There is no real topical solution, cream will help only in minor reduction, and that's in best case scenarios. If your skin is really bad, you can visit a dermotologist who can presribe a drug called roaccutane. It will significantly reduce or eliminate severe acne in over 80% of cases. The thing is it's pretty full-on when it comes to side-effects. Your skin will dry up while taking it (a course of three to 12 months) and there are a multitude of other possible drawbacks. It requires diligent monitoring by your treating doctor, and is probably very expensive in America. I'm in Australia and it's on the PBS list. I was on it it for 6 months 5 years ago and it I haven't had significant acne problems since.

Just getting at least 2 hours of sun on your face and body will help you have clear skin. (free) Do that and exfoliate.(You can find some scrub at Wal-mart for like 5 bucks.) Dove moisturizing soap ($1) and after you finish washing your face put a very small amount of Vaseline Intensive Care Advanced healing lotion($3) and make sure to put it in any dry areas of your face. Use Cucumbers on your eyes at night before bed.
Good Luck. I hope you find something that works for you.
Just remember that everyone has different skin. I also recommend eating fruits and vegetables and drinking lots of water.

1.any acne cleanser ( ex. Biore)
2. any acne toner (Biore)
3. and pure base oils instead of cream/moisturizer (yes, even for oily skin - they will not clog your pores)
( ex: sesame seed base oil + grape-seed base oil +jojoba base oil = miz them together in equal proportions and massage into skin before going to sleep)
you can buy 100% pure oils in beauty stores or order on-line. It's a little bit expensive ($10-20), but last long ( a year or so)
!!!! Base oils are NOT essencial oils!!!!

Wash your face every night with mild soap and water and follow up with a cold water rinse. Use something like Noxema or Sauve medicated lotion for pimples, if necessary. Never squeeze your pimples with your finger nails. It will only make matters worse.

Keep your face clean...Don't touch it. Wash it twice a day with a soap your face likes. Use cotton round pads (or if you have none use toilet paper or cotton balls.) and put 70% or higher strength of alcohol as toner after you've washed you're face. Eat right...lots of vegies. Drink lots of water. Just make sure you wash your face and use the alcohol twice a day. And never, ever, ever pick at it. It worked for me.

Good luck..my wife has chronic acne, combination of heredity and lack of water...drink plenty of water, wash several times a aday w/good scrubbing formula, look into anti-biotics or natural treatments to fight from within.
