I thought I heard on the radio this morning that they are coming out with a new Halloween movie in Oct of 2007 and that Rob Zombie was going to be a producer or director or something like that...can anyone clear this up for me because I only got half the story when I was listening to it on the radio

Yes he is both writing and directing the next installment due out in 2007.

Oh God No!!! Man I hate to say it cuz i like his music, but Rob Zombie's movies are terrible. House of a thousand corpses was dumb... Devils Rejects was pretty good, I guess. Well lets see if he can redeem himself....

I think they need to give up on the Halloween movies. They are just ruining what ever scary stuff there was. Not that they were scary, pretty boring, but now they are worse.

yes, there is a remake and they promise to make it really scary. I think they thought that the terror brought by Michael Myers was lost in the many sequels. So they decided to make another one. It's not actually a sequel but another version.

that is correct a remake is in the works and because of the passing of Moustapha Akkad Rob Zombie will be writing and directing.
