Why is it, dead relatives seem so real and alive in my dreams. Why do I visit the same places in my dreams?

I visit the same places in my dreams. It's funny, they are sort of like real places, but different in odd ways. For example, their is a street neighborhood i know well in Birmingham, Alabama in my dreams, but i haven't seen a street or neighborhood that looks like that in the real Birmingham.

Maybe the relatives seem alive in your dreams because they are alive in your mind.
