Some people like movies. Whats his favorite movie?
Some people like food. Were does he like to go for dinner?
Some people like music. Whats his favorite band?
But, all Id whant from my girlfreind, is for her to reamin lving, and true, and maybe a kiss...
If you want to make it extravagant, combine all the above...

It depends on how long you had the relationship with him. I mean after all if you are having the relationship going somewhere you want the gift to be meaningful. One that can convey a message that your relationship with him is more meanignful and getting better every single day. Also, if you're thinking of something that he might like, Ipod are getting hotter for guys nowadays, I think it would be a really good gift for starters if your relationship are pretty new.

something that shows Ur character and how u will be with Ur boyfrnd after marriage.............. a thing that shows how much u like and love him (i didn't mean that costly gifts)
i would prefer more of love care and affection and a small surprise
once i got a gift from my g/f a small heart shaped box----- when i opened it she said I've given my heart to u
then it had small nuts inside---- she said I'm nuts on u
then when i opened the nuts--- it had lots of words and events that we enjoyed together i liked it a lot may be it can also work for u

Find out his taste in music - better yet a gift card to Circuit City so he can get what he likes.

get him something that is not like a belt, perfume, a shirt... everybody gets stuff like that...
take him to an amusement park.. but him tickets for a baseball game.. or whatever sport he likes... or buy him like a billion bags of his favorite candy... (for some it would be beer...!! hahaha)
but it really depends on your budget and what he likes.. just make it thoughtful and something he enjoys and will remember..
