I used to enjoy answering the questions here, often they required me to think or do a bit of research. But now it seems like half the people don't even know what they are asking, many questions don't make sense at all, and the rest have answers that could probably be found by typing one word into Google.
What do you think?

I really agree.
Some are opinion, and that's ok.
But some are like "How do you fix a toilet leak?" and such, and you can easily just find it online, or go to hardware store and they'll be glad to help you!
And some people put their question in the heading and those normally don't make sense if they're 3 words or less. And they don't put any details in either!

Some of the people on here are from countries that teach the English but don't speak it very much. These people are on here trying to do their best to properly ask a question. They just don't have the experience.
I will agree with you when it's someone educated in the U.S. , Canada, England and other countries that use English freely. They think it is the kool way of expressing themselves. They probably fantasize they are some Hip-Hop/Rap crap star.
I also believe there are 1000 or so people that belong to a clique. Each one makes up one STUPID question and then asks it. Then the next day the questions round robins to the next and they ask it.. This is why we see the same STUPID ASSINE questions asked everyday. Hell, they probably do it more than once a day.

I agree with you. I am about ready to leave Yahoo!Answers.
It seems to have deteriorated into a pre-teen chatroom, and the Yahoo Answers Team must want it that way, as they are doing nothing about it.
People keep asking the same stupid questions over and over, or asking sick fetish or wanking questions. Too many people are simply rabble-rousing with inflamatory religious, political, racial and sexist questions and insults. The racial and sexuality insults are very offensive.
I am tired of hearing about people's avatars, how to guess if they are pregnant, or how to divine if some other adolescent "likes" them. I do not care why the sky is blue, why the chicken crossed the road, or how much wood woodchucks can chuck. I do not want to guess anyone's age, birthday, favorite color, or pet's name.
Now we are pandering to Hollywood celebrities.
This site used to be very interesting, and a lot of fun. It was a place where you actually had the chance to learn something, either by doing reference for others' questions, or by the good answers one got to one's own.
Not anymore. It is a shame.

well , its your presumption, the question which you think is silly may be a very urgent and tough for the asker. well , you are saying that some answers can be found by typing just word in google, may be they dont have knowledge(you have that knowledge, but that doesnot mean that everybody knows about it) about that or they feel easy in asking here

The questions fall into three catagories: stupid, ignorant and lazy.
The lazy are those who can't be bothered to Google something.
The ignorant ask truly stupid questions ("What is sex")
The stupid ask those questions just to inflame or be racist, sexist, ageist, etc.
I honestly think I haven't seen a good question in a long while.

perhaps you could start asking the types of questions you want to see, and people might start following suit.

you have a point. my guess is that people are too lazy to type a word in yahoo search to find out, or they have a lot of points on Yahoo answers and dont knnow what to do with them! ^_^
