I had to write a poem - yes, I know
The problem is I have no talent, though
I think a lot and hope I'll find a way
to tell you how I feel...'cause I obey.
Like any human creature, I was told:
"To share emotions, you have to be bold,
To look in other's eyes and speak up right
about anything you ...dreamt at night!"
I wish I could find better words to share
Warm messages about you would care,
To teach you some important lesson now
I wish I had the power to know how.
To speak about love, and family
About kids and play - yes, I agree
About war and soldiers - so much fear
About weapons, killing - one more tear.
I wish I had a potion or a charm
Protecting all Americans of any harm
If we had dreamt about all that's bad
then waking up won't make anyone sad!
I thank you all for listening my work
I really wish you won't feel I did wrong,
I hope you all have a great day
And to wirte poems in a better way!

*Fear*
Fear has surrounded me from that day,
The day I heard the teacher say,
'Write a poem about an emotion'.
Then fear struck all, Oh what a commotion.
'Help,Oh, Help', everyone cried,
It seemed we would all rather die
Than write a little verse or two
About feelings felt by me and you.
We all experience fear sometimes,
Especially when one is not good at rhymes.
But we will live the day and see the next
After we write that little text.
So that is an example of how fear can strike
On you and many other like.
THE END

Do an emotion you feel occurs a lot in yourself. Depression, anger, and apathy are all common American emotions. Just run with it and write it yourself. Your teacher isn't looking for the next Emily Dickinson, she just wants you to do your work so she can give you a score. As long as it has a rhythm and is spelled correctly, you'll do fine.

I felt a little sad today so I posted a poem, for all to see I sat with glee, not caring what they thought of me.
I failed to find amusing their ignorant bliss, made me want to scour & hiss. Concerning indeed, I become tired of this.
This world not mean for the faint of heart, this reality not fit for a soul apart. Say now what you, when it fades to dark

you could try writing about feelings of disgust toward our government for just sitting on their fat azzes while people are starving or being taken advantage of by a large corporate bully.

How about compassion,
compassion,
the humane quality of understanding the suffering of others and wanting to do something about it

Fear tears apart the globe
Misunderstandings unfold
God, help us see each other's pain.
Only then will peace again reign.
