Honeysuckle,When I was a small child,it grew all around the house where I grew up and it makes me think of the innocense of childhood,I could go outside and play with my brother( using our imaginations, because our parents couldn`t afford lots of toys)We used our minds for entertainment.Sights, sounds and smells, such as laying on the ground and looking at the clouds deciding what they were shaped like, such as dogs, rabbits etc....

The smell of my favorite dish called Potato Kugel. It brings back memories of my grandmothers and my mother cooking it for me.
The smell of seafood cooking is another smell that I love and the smell of Spanish Food too.
I like fertilizer smell, believe it or not. Ha Ha!! I like it while other people hate it and horse manure too because I rode horses as a boy at a horse stable and we cleaned out the stables to be able to ride for free and I went there because the pretty girls rode the horses there.

The scent of lilac's.
Where I grew up, lilac bushes are everywhere. We had quite a few in our back yard with one group that was planted in a small circle. When the lilac's were in bloom, I would crawl through to the center and lay there for the longest time just enjoying the smell.
Now when my lilac's are in bloom, the smell reminds me of those peaceful childhood moments, which is quite relaxing.

Odors? Isn't an odor usually associated with a bad smell. And a scent is associated with a good smell?
I think I know what you mean though. The perfume "Wind Song" reminds me of my late mother.

The smell of Sweet Pea brings back the best memories for me. If I am in the worst of moods or sad I just light up a Sweet Pea Candle or put on some Sweet Pea lotion. It brings back memories of my youth. It reminds me of my great grandma and how her smile could light up the room, of my sister and I buying it together and sharing it while talking about our hopes and dreams, and of my first love my only love and how much he loved the smell of it and still does.

Vetiver... it reminds me of my grandmother's closet and her sachets. It was always one of the unspoken "never go there" places, but every once in a while, she would invite me to look at photographs she kept there, some very old, from the late 1800s.
When I smell it, I am reminded of her and those precious moments. Sometimes I smell it where there really shouldn't be that scent and wonder if she's around me, reminding me of the ancestors who are watching me.

The smell of a grassy wooded area after a warm summers rain. It takes me back to a time when I was young and spent the summer in the country with my grandparents.

I have many but one is definitely the smell of a certain type of wet sand. I know that sounds weird but my grampa's family had this cottage in Ontario Canada. It was next to a tiny beach with this gross sand smell, but that smell was one of the few consistent comforting things I had when I was a kid.

212 perfume for women. I wore it on my wedding day and only wear it every year on our anniversary. It triggers the most amazing memories of that day. It reminds me how much I love my husband. . . 7 years strong.
