well you make a plan . . . if he is the stalker/agressive type. carefully pack important things that you NEED. Try to get a place of your own or stay with a trust worthy family member or friend. I'm sure you know when he's around or not . . . when everything is in order you leave and you never look back. You don't need to say anything to him if he's a pyscho. If you feel a frightened get a restraining order so if he comes near you all you do is call the cops and he goes to jail.

First of all you leave and separate and then you seek counseling and therapy to help you get past this and move on. How bad is the abuse and what type of abuse is it and how long has this been going on? Are you married to this person or not? Are you the one being abused? Get out and away from the abuse as fast as you can! Dont hang around for me and stop choosing to be a victim and get the help you need to get past the pain of this and become and overcomer!

Be strong, get a plan of where you can go where he has never been. Hide there, leave him, move on, get excited about your wonderful new life, pray to GOD!
This is what worked for me. I am just out of a 4 year physically abusive relationship. And I feel SO much better!

First of all you need to run, You figure out a plan and go with that plan, make sure you have everything you need. When your in a abusive relationship it never gets better and they always say... I'm going to change, but they don't.
Below is a couple websites to look at.
Good luck

It was easy for me, after I was bored of beating my wife and girlfriend I simply walked out the door. Easy as 1-2-3.

Pack your stuff and get the hell out of there. We don't want to hear something bad happened to you. Go stay with a friend or family member til you can get your own place. Good Luck.

If you are in a abusive relationship, get out of it as quick as you can.Talk to someone for help,a friend, sibling, parent, etc.Life is too short not to be happy, and no one should have to be abused in this life.It is not right and not fair to you.Do what you have to do to walk away,no matter what!!!

Remind yourself you do not have to put up with this. Your well being and safety comes first. It's your life, always be in control of it and no where it is written that anyone has the right to abuse you.
