It's not why do people act a certain way. It's why do SOME people act a certain way. By not limiting your group, you are generalizing. And generalizing is insulting to your readers. You are telling them you think they are stupid enough to believe your claim that an entire race acts a certain way.
Of course, you may not have intented to come across that way. If not, then that's easy to fix. Edit your question with additional comments. Many students don't understand why they should pay attention in English class. This is a great example of why. If you're not careful how you use your language, it can come back to bite you.
Now, as to why a group of people would do what you described in your question. The people in such groups (race is not a factor) act that way for various reasons. If you were to separate each member of the group and question him/her individually, each would probably give you a different answer. If they responded truthfully, some would say they are insecure and use the group to be able to say things and act in ways that they wouldn't dare do as individuals. They view the group they are a part of as powerful and protective of them, so they feel they can get away with doing things that are generally viewed by others as taboo. In other words, most are probably insecure wimps who have discovered that they can act bad by riding on the coat tails of one or two in the group who have a reputation for being bad. If it's any consolation to you, many eventually end up in jail.
Such disruptions (although very annoying) are usually brief. So you may choose to disregard them and enjoy the show. But, if you like, you can, after the show, call your experience to the attention of the theatre management and explain that because the theatre staff wasn't on top of the situation, you doubt you'll return to the theatre. That is, you'll just wait for a movie to become available on CD and view it at home. This hits the business owner where it hurts. In his pockets. He'll pay attention to you.

The same reason why some white people will walk down the street and make fun of each other saying "What a (word to denounce a gay person)" or something.
Certain people don't know how to act in public. It has nothing to do with race. Although some things might be indigenous to certain cultures, you cannot label people. I think the main reason why things like this happen is because people get chips on their shoulders and think they have the right to do it. They start not caring about what anyone else thinks, and that includes forgetting about other people's public enjoyment. People in general do stupid things like this if you get the right people. You just happened to come across a group of African American people who made a bad example of themselves. I'm sure there's plenty of other races who have done the same thing to make bad reps. for themselves, but you wouldn't want to be looked at in a certain light across the board because a group of YOUR race decided to be stupid, right? IT's all in the people.

Being a black female, I agree with you and wonder myself sometimes. First not all blacks walk in crowds and are loud. Some do it to get attention. While others do not know better and think its cool but in reality, it makes them look like a fool as well as being disrespectful to others.

well, you have a point, in my opinion there are two types of people, black or white...., there's regular decent people then there's trash, most people know what i'm talking about, the trashy crowd will go around making loud noises and usually have no regard for anyone but there selves

The same reason white people walk in with their babies in theatres, then spend the entire film chatting with the child/on their phone: because we hate everyone else.

Clearly you've never seen the way white middle-class American behave when they travel in Europe!
I've seen stupid, rude behaviour from black AND white people. Perhaps you only notice it from the black people because they strike you as different, and that focuses your attention on them.

i cant say that ive actually noticed 'black' people making loud obscene statements. I reckon you could just as easily say 'white trash' people, immature teenagers, obnoxious americans or whinging old people.
You probably just notice black people cause theyre different to you and they possible stand out more.
