I've been using Firefox for a couple years and have just recently started getting "Server Not Found" error messages with just about every page I open. "Firefox can't find the server at . It then says I should check to see if I have firewalls up, etc. Nothing has changed recently, so I can't figure it out. I have a wireless connection, and it's always strong. I'm using XP Pro (service pack 2) on a Compaq desktop. I keep my Windows Update up-to-date, Norton says I have no viruses, and Ad-Aware shows no signs of distress. What am I missing? To be honest, Netscape and Explorer have been giving me similar problems too, so I'm not so sure Firefox has anything to do with it. Any suggestions?

You just need to download an extension for firefox
to get it go to tools and click on extensions on firefox,
then search for an ftp extension. download and install the extension
after that restart the browser

if is not that you must type it like this for example: ftp://10.125.47.5689

if that does not work it is because their server is shut down

Try browsing in different browsers like internet explorer , opera. if same issue is happening with them also then contact your ISP.
If not, then something is wrong with firefox only, so re-install firefox.
