Does cellphone give off radiation even when ur not talking on the phone?

Does cellular phone still give off radiation even when you are not talking on the phone? Does it harm you if you place your phone next to or underneath your pillow when you are sleeping? Will this increase the chances of you getting cancer still?

First, the whole cell phones give of "radiation" is misinformation- they send out a type of waves not radiation like a nuclear reactor etc.

Second serious legitimate controlled studies conducted since it was first asserted that cell phones created bring damage have found that here is no link to cell phone use and cancer or brain damage. However the Internet is full of " urban legends" and " junk science "purporting that it does- just like on line there are numerous cures for all kinds of illness and books to be bought about how there was not Holocaust in WWII.

third if cell phones cause such brain damage and tumors then there should be millions of people dying form them since so many millions use them 24/7

Cell phones constantly radiate when they are on. They are always communicating with cell towers, even when you're not talking on it. As for getting cancer from it, that will remain to be seen.
