wow I am in about the same position. Only difference is Im on the school team right now and now Im no longer allowed to play sports on sundays. So I have to find a good team that doesnt play on sunday. I think you should talk to them. I am homeschooled and on the school team. You just need to be in the school district to play on the team.

Why do your future in sports depend on attending public school. If you are talented enough there is AAU competition in all major sports and recruiters do pay attention so that is an option. If you parents home-school you, in a lot of school districts you are allowed to participate with your local public high school.

You must remember that you are ultimately responsible for your education and you set the limit to what you can accomplish and learn. You are not going to learn everything that you need to learn in this world in the classroom.

The sooner that you take ownership of your learning the better prepared you will be towards the end of your school education (be it high school or college).

Why do your parents not like public schools? Granted some public school teachers suck and need to find other employment, but overall there is nothing wrong with public education! You've got to be willing to put a little into it, kids and PARENTS. Are you not any brighter than your parents?!! There are a lot of sports programs out there that you can participate in that are not school sponsored. Do a little research.

They probably don't think that the public school system isn't good enough. If you want to go to a school that's commited to sports you're going to have to do a little research. Look up good schools that supports sports and show them what you found. Not only show them the sports part though, also show them academics, and state test scores, etc.

In my school district, home schooled kids could play on the sports team, you could probably ask them about that
