XP home windows lost motem?

My windows XP cannot find my motem, after reprograming motem drivers, verifying line hookup etc.any ideas....Thanks lots...

You might try going to your Device Manager and uninstalling the modem. Then reboot the computer, and Windows should find it as "new hardware" and load the correct driver for it.
