Charleston, South Carolina. I don't think that many people know about it but it is a wonderful, romantic city. The downtown area is all antebellum historic homes. They are absolutely gorgeous. At night you can walk on the battery, right on the water, and look out at the charleston harbor. There is wonderful shopping and nightlife. During the day you can go to the local beaches or to one of the beautiful gardens in the area. It is a beautiful city!

Gatlinburg / Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. ..in the Smokey Mountains.. close to Knoxville. Chalets available for rent, dozens of Hotels. Several Outlet Malls, great restaurants...very romantic.

I think the best place is Gatlinburg, Tn. Rent a nice cabin, with a view of the smokie mountains. Most cabins have privet outdoor hot tubs and Jacuzzis in the master bedroom

I'm in the south and would recommend the Outer Banks in NC, Charleston or Hilton Head in SC, and Clearwater, Tampa, Orlando, Ft. Lauderdale, and Vero Beach in FL.

For the youthful and young at heart, you can't beat a summer trip to Alaska. Anchorage has a broad spectrum of hotels and services that can meet all creature comfort needs, and for exhilerating natural, scientific, and cultural experiences one just has to just look beyond the municipality.

You didnt really mention your interests. Would like to go somewhere warm and/or exciting? Hawaii, Florida, California, Vegas, will all offer you these things. Personally, I enjoy history and would love to go to Washington DC and Williamsburg, VA (my parents went on their honeymoon to these places)
