Sounds to me like a Doctor visit is definitely in your future, thats not normal, unless maybe you broke open a hemmoroid during a bm.... and you should still see your Doc to be on the safe side.

My father-in-law died early this month because doctors ignored his bowel problems beginning 2 years ago. Prior medical advice: eat prunes; take enemas, etc. He failed to mention bleeding from the rectom; he thought it ws "just" hemroids.
A routine colonoscopy would have found a growing malignant tumor in his colon but it ultimately grew so large that he could no longer pass stools.
This was a wakeup call for me and hopefully for you too. Run, don't walk, to your doctor and insist on getting a colonoscopy.

I have had blood present before. It was caused my a bleeding hemroid. The redder the blood the closer it is to the anus. If your stool is a dark blackish color then it is coming from inside your intestines or stomach. Go to the doctors and get it checked

If the blood appears in the stool itself you need to get to a doctor. If the blood only appears after wiping and is bright red you probably have a slight tear. To be on the safe side see a doctor please.

See a doctor, obviously. It may be a slight tear, but then again your intestinal track could be bleeding and that is very dangerous.

Yup. You should see your doctor. You could have any # of problems, some of them very serious and some of them completely harmless.
