My girl is 11 months also and she weighs 20.2 pounds and the doctor said she is perfect. So don't worry they are both fine. Maybe you shouldn't stress about the small stuff, ya know what I had to do the other day..... I had to call poison control because my 11 month old got into the bathroom ( I don't know how because the door was shut) where I had a tub full of water and bleach (I was cleaning it) and she had it all over her, I wasn't sure if she drank it or not, so I called poison control. Everything is OK now but I freaked out! I know that didn't have anything to do with your question but it's a scary story I thought I would share with ya. Good Luck with your 11 month old mama! :-)

There is a *wide* variation of what is normal, depending on sex (generally boys weigh more than girls), birth weight, genetics, and many other factors that can't be measured. 11-month-old girls generally weigh between 6.6 and 11.7 kilos (14 lb. 8 oz. to 25 lb. 12 oz.), and boys between 7.3 and 12.1 kilos (16'1" to 26'10"). So both weights you gave are well within normal limits. See sources section below for more information on the newest growth charts. These are the first ones that have ever been based on research on children who are *known* to have been well-nourished, so they are the most accurate ones ever.

There are more things to consider, that is why doctors use 'percentiles'. My son is 15 months and weighs 19 lbs. He was 6 lbs at birth. His ped is not worried since he has consistantly been in the 5th percentile and was a full term birth. He also stays in the 10th percentile for height. If you are worried, as your pediatrician next month when she goes in for her 12 month visit.

Oh man. Babies weights can fluctuate so much! There really is no normal! Those weights sound fine. My sister in law has a 9 month old who weights as much as my 20 month old! I have a 4 month old who I think is going to catch up to my 20 month old! Don't worry! Sounds like they are both doing great!

I think its normal. By the time she starts being more active such as running, walking she will tend to stretch out and may loose the baby weight or it may just stay the same as she starts to grow. Don't worry about how everyone else's child weighs. Just enjoy them being small.

Depends on her birth weight. Babies are supposed to triple that in the first year. So, if she weighed 7lbs. she'd be just right. I wouldn't worry about it, though and definitely don't compare her weight to others. That's a bad habit to start.
