The day you first have your period (actual red flow, not spotting) is called "cycle day 1". Ovulation usually happens between days 10-16 of your cycle, and your period should arrive roughly 12-14 days later.

To find out when you are ovulating, you have several choices. You can use ovulation predictor kits (which are like pregnancy tests, only they measure the ovulation hormone instead of the pregnancy hormone). You pee on one a day, usually in the afternoon, until the test line is darker than the control line. When it is, that's the indication that you will ovulate in the next 12-36 hours.

You can also "temp". You take your temperature at the same time every day, the instant you wake up (this means setting an alarm, even on weekends), before you even talk. You can record the temp using one of the free websites below. After a few cycles you will start to see a pattern of when you are ovulating.

You can also do a combination thereof, so you don't miss any months while you are trying to find a pattern. Good luck!

well there are ovualtion kits you can try im doing them now and they are great !!! you buy them at the drug store or any shop that sells pregnancy stuff... you buy an ovulation kit for 5 days it comes with 5 peeing cups and 5 tests you do one test a day for 5 days at the same time every day.... it sort of looks like a pregnancy test but for ovualtion.... it comes up positive when you are at your highest and that means you are going to ovulate in 24 - 36 hours so you have sex on the day you get a positive and the day after....its worked for alot of women thats just an easier thing to try so that when you know you are most fertile you can plan a romantic evening and just enjoy the night instead of worrying the WHOLE month about making sure that you and your husband had sex on certain days so goodluck and for the future CONGRATS

ok count from day one of ur cycle to day 14 that day is really good to concieve , so if ur cycle lasts 7 days that means wait 7 more days and have sex at that day. u can see more viginal white discharge and ur tempreture will get lill higher specially in the morning..i would get avulation montitor or kits they look like pregnancy test ,u can get them from CVS when when u see two red lines that means u r ready to be pregnant.try to take ur tempreture after u finish ur cycle ,it should be higher than the normal tempreture, take it right before u getup ur bed, and the higher tempreture the more chance of getting pregnant...good luck.
