All the time I hear about African Americans and I can not find the country on any map.I have looked on globes and the internet and still nowhere can I find this country.Does it not go by Africa America ?

Is someone from Egypt that now lives in America and African-American after all Egypt is wholly a part of Africa yet many are more Caucasian in appearance?

there is no such country... An African American (also known as Afro-American) is a member of an ethnic group in the United States whose ancestors, usually in predominant part, were indigenous to West Africa.

african americans refers to black people living in united states,and as such their country is america.
