Love him where he is at. You know he is short tempered so try to do things to calm him down and make him happy. Give him massages and help ease the stress he feels. He may also want to see the doctor or seek help for anger issues. It sounds like he loves you and whatever you do do not do things to purposely upset or irritate him.

My husband is short tempered. It's usually because he doesn't take his blood pressure medication. I've learned to just ignore him when he's acting stupid. It's really hard sometimes, but he is my husband and noone's perfect. When I think of all the good things he does for me and my daughter, I remember how fortunate I am to have him.

Try some Counseling. Get every thing on the table. It also depends on what he gets short tempered about. Needed more information. God Bless.
