How do I 45 a piece of 1" outside corner so on a flat piece of plywood i am using for a top

use a tool called buzz you will find it next to the bed post in a white bag ok you might need a miter box and set it to 45 deg set the piece in the box just like it would go on the table..cut away happy buzzing

Its a workbench - why 45 if you don't know how? Install the side piece to up to the front first and run the front piece to the end.

Guessing you mean half-round stock like for molding, I would suggest using a miter box. I built mine with 1x1/2 stock for a "fence" around the table to keep stuff from running off. I load 12 ga. for trap and 45 semi wad cutters for target. I have both a Pons-Warren size-o-matic and a Lyman "H" press on my table along with a case lathe and scale. My 45 powder drop is mounted on the front rail. I did use a miter box to cut the frames.
