my laptop ( toshiba portege 7020ct), displayed a message when i turned it on that i have to put in an ec/kbc diskette. i don't know what it does nor what it is nor how i can get it. can someone please help me? thanx in advance.

Two possiblities here:
1) Your Tab key is stuck. Tap it a few times and attempt to clean it. If it's stuck, then it will look for the EC/KBC diskette.
2) Your laptop needs to be serviced. See the page below for more information.

It is probably the system bios search the system sofware for that particular computer

haha someone's asked me this before. It's the bootdisk for the laptop.
