America is not a race, we are all races, We are a NATION!!! yes, we are also the world police, if not us , who else will? we have the budget to do it, so we do.
everybody else has the philosophy of ignore it and it'll go away.... but if your country and government were overbearing and violently oppressive, you'd pray for us to come and help you and your family. as every other world country burries their heads in the sand, except maybe Britain!
put the shoe on the other foot there.
the USA doesn't have a regime. there is a three tier legal system here of due process that prevents a unified regime.
there are temporary leaders to prevent the possibility of there ever being a dictatorship or monarchy. we are a free nation governed by a body politic elected for a temporary term, by the people themselves!

we ARE the greatest!!!
we were born free and we will die free!
even freedom has rules. freedom on the scale of billions of free people needs rules to live in a cohesively coexistent manner.

don't mistake order for a regime. if most people had it their own way, this country would be anarchy and the criminals would run it all. i for one am grateful that america is the way it is... i have the right to shoot somebody if they break into my house. i have the ability to call the police when i need them and i live peacefully free of them when i dont. i happily pay my taxes, and am grateful for all the benefits that my taxes provide to myself and everybody else. I happily abide by the few simple rules that the judiciary system has seen fit to bestow.
these "rules" are simply common sense anyway. i fail to see how living by them is so difficult for any intelligent being. you get most of the complaint from the ill educated, the criminal, and the anarchist. if they had their way, this would be a government of "do as you will", run by idiots, for idiots. the common and decent people wouldn't have a rock to hide under because they'd have all been stolen already.

nobody thinks through their criticisms to every conceivable consequence. this system is in place for a reason, it works! it hasn't been overthrown for a reason, it works!
the only ones that gripe about the laws are the ones that want to break them. there is a simple solution, if you want to live in a lawless place, find one and move there.

Well, you can perceive whatever you would like, and you also are free to leave. That is possibly the greatest thing about being an American. I feel confident that you are either: A) an American by birth but a loser by nature, or B) a person who needs a plane ticket to Iran or some similar locale so that you can learn about how lucky you are that you can even live in a place where you can post a stupid comment like you did and not be tortured/imprisoned/killed because of it. The people who made this country great are nothing like you. They made things happen, they didn't complain about what everyone else was doing. This is because they knew that they had an opportunity here, unlike the countries they were from. Go to the country whose people you find "greatest". If you're not finding greatness here, go somewhere else, that's your right. No one's stopping you! Oh, and be sure to let us all know when you've found a country that is NOT "judge, jury, and executioner", you idiot!

Perhaps you mistake ridicule of questions/questioners in this forum for a sense of 'superiority.'

There is no master race, and never will be until we (humans) master the genetic code and possibly produce better humans.

It may seem that our attitude is that we are the 'greatest' and can 'take' on the world. Again, do not be misled by what you read here. At this point in history we may be the strongest and most blessed with resources, military might, etc. However, all things end - read the history of Babylon, Greece, Rome, etc.

Americans are probably Isolationists at heart. They want to be left alone to pursue their lives - not be constantly attacked by some radical, brain-washed, Islamic extremist or similar group. No, they do not wish to be 'global police' but since other people will not control their own criminals, Americans must.

Any more comments?

I'm sorry you that you don't want to live under any "regime" that is judge, jury and executioner but I have a big surprise for you----
you already do!!!!
America may be the "master race" by some ideals but by saying race means just one race and everyone knows that America is a melting pot of the world and consists of every nationality there is in the world so you are saying that the world is the "master race" of the world, so why are you whining about it like a spoiled brat anyway?
As for the judge, jury and executioner well we all know his name don't we. And yes I'm sorry to say he does live in America but if you and your country want him to live there it's alright with us, you're welcome to him and all of this faults too. Then you can call yourselves the "master of the world" too.
Now that's as stupid an answer as you deserve for asking a very stupid question like your question and you deserve it too.
God Bless America, now and forever too!!!!!!

America isn't a race. We're a melting pot of many races. And like most countries, we think that we're always right. The French think they're the only country with class. The Iranians think that God gave them the right to determine how everyone in the world should live. It has nothing to do with race, but rather country. And yes, most Americans think that democracy is the best system in the world, but not all of us believe we have the right to impose our morals and mores on other people. Most Americans are actually isolationists, wanting to just keep our country exactly the way it is and keep all other ideas on the other sides of the oceans. But when you think about how many millions of people all over the world are desperate to emigrate to here........well, we must be doing something right.

Stop all this stupid American hating stuff! We are obviously superior to other countries in our culture and our government. We do have a very powerful military and our people at least the good ones love God and are patriotic people with good moral beliefs. I love America and to be quite frank could care less about you or how you feel about America. We had to earn what we have today and a lot of countries would be a lot worse off if not for America, the Home of the Brave! And oh yeah, we are not a race moron.

it's always the case; take England during its empire days or France during its African conquest or the Spanish empire during Columbus's days; it is an innate belief of people to find a sense of status depending on their country's economic and military prowess.

After WWII, we emerged as the "good" superpower (Soviets as "bad"); Europe was tattered from the onslaught economically and militarily and we helped them out; the excess work force that was created during the war led to a incredible boom of economic power (hence why the term "baby boomers": babies born during the late 1940s and 1950s).

Today, we still hold that power, and since our minds are short-term, as well as drastic world changing events that have placed us in the upper hand, we look at ourselves as #1.

But don't be fooled. Vietnam brought us the first blow that we weren't all that (military); the oil crisis shortage (economically). And countries such as China and India are coming forth with tremendous economic and military might, so it's only a matter of time before we are ousted. Will that change our views? Who knows.

You need to understand that once we are gone, another "regime" will enter and take our place of 'world power.' It's human nature. It's been going on for as long as civilization existed. You can't change it. Better to be the predator than the prey, I say.

Rome was once the greatest nation on the planet, and they were one cocky sons of bishes. America is just the next superpower, and with it comes great great responsibilities. I think we can be a little cocky too? No? Lets not forget that Rome civilized the world, (atleast Europe) just as America is trying to do so again. Im proud to be an American citizen, but I dont think im a master race, thats nazi'ish thinking.

Yes. America is not a race, Nor is American. But the USA does have a history of superiority.
Manifest Destiny comes to mind, as the US stole most of Mexico from the Mexicans, beliving them to be inferior people and unable to govern so much land, (we scored California, New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, Texas, and Nevada in that little scuffle!)

Abraham Lincoln himself, (call him a racist!), described the U.S. as the "last, best hope of Earth" to spread democracy and freedom.

And, until the EU gets its feet beneath it, or China pulls their head outta their butt, we are the only standing superpower and we know it.

But a lot of the World would be pretty fúcked if we weren't. So deal.
