On June1st I had an ultrasound done & it said that I was 7wks & 4days, that's what the picture said; so I add two weeks to that to find out my due date right? So really I was 9wks & 4days??

I don't think that you add any time. An ultrasound shows the gestational age of your baby. They are actually pretty accurate.

If they listed 7 weeks... then they've already factored in the 2 weeks after you started your period. I'm 9+ weeks and my pics don't list getational age. I had an internal sonogram (because it's too early to have an external one... ). Was yours done external? My doctor said I needed to be at least 11 weeks to do the external. In any case, you must of had your first prenatal visit, right? At that time, based on your information about your period, they determine how far along you are... and they count it from the first day of your last menstrual cycle. Here's how my doctor calculates it. For example: if your last period started on April 14... count out 9 months (which puts you in January)... and add 7 days... making the due date 1/21/07. Others count out 40 weeks from the first day of your period. The difference between the two methods is that it varies your due date by 2 days. Not a big deal.
Hope this helped. Good luck!

You can never tell the exact date of conception, however if you can not wait to ask your doctor and know the first day (date) of your last period a web-site such as babycenter.com will be able to tell you how many weeks along you are & your estimated due date.

That said, if the ultrasound said you were at 7wks & 4days, you are at 7wks & 4days. :) Congratulations!

I'm not 100% sure because I've never heard that theory before. But I know I have never added 2 weeks to my due date. Normally what the ultrasound says is what the doctors go by. Ultrasounds can be off give or take 2 weeks though.

No, the dates on the ultrasound picture are, like your due date, calculated from your LMP. So if it said you were 7 weeks and 4 days, then that's how far along you are.

You can go to www.babycenter.com and enter the first day of your last period, and the site will calculate your due date for you. But didn't your doctor give you a due date?

When an ultrasound is done, they measure the femur (leg bone) of the baby and from that is how they figure your due date. You do not add any time to the date from the ultrasound.
Also, try and remember the first day of your last menstrual period, you can use that to figure out your due date.

From my calculations your due date is January 13th. Sounds to me like you were really 7wks & 4days. :) (Doctors use the LMP 40 weeks of gestation) and you are 10 weeks today. Congrats!
