EBay is still an excellent source for jewelry. I've found charms there for my wife from Canada, a oak leaf charm that was hard to find elsewhere.
However, there are a few other sources I know of. Try searching on Yahoo.com's Shopping pages for silver charms, charm bracelets and charms, or just silver jewelry. You'll likely come up with something. I found crystal drop earrings for my wife there with a jewelry discounter, and they're quite nice.
Also try these sites. They sometimes have charms available separately from bracelets:

My wife has 3 charm bracelets, so we're often looking for new charms.

Have you tried Claire's? Some Claire's stores have them, and also Disney World has some cute ones, without characters.
But, idk if you could go there in a day.
