not to worry.. ripping a song from one CD to burn on a different one will not remove the song from the original. It worried me the first time i did it too, but the song ripped from the CD will remain on the original.

Yes becuase the information on the original is already implemented on it. There are some cd's that you can burn over again and again but I am assuming the original is a retail cd, which you can burn over, therefore information can only be transfered and duplicated. Same thing goes for regular (burned once only) compact discs; You can only transfer and duplicate that cd. The original will always keep the information given to it.

the term "ripping" may be confusing, but it doesn't modify anything from the original CD as other people mentioned

yes it will remain on the original one because it is just copied on the another one.

yah... if the original cd isnt a cd r/rw... its imposible to erase anything off of that cd...
