I feel like it is wrong. If the business owner doesn't want smokers fine, but what if he does? Shouldn't he be allowed to state what goes on in his place of business? Seems to me we are being discriminated against. Wonder what all the fat people are going to say when the insurance companies start on them? Are what about people who have a lot of cancer in their families, what happens when the insurance companies want to be able to legally shut them out. Because this was about the insurance companies pure and simple. Second hand smoke, if it is so bad, if smoking is so addictive then why aren't the people who suffer from second hand smoke addicted? I believe that the respiratory problems we have in America today, come directly from the plutonium the government released in the atmosphere when doing all that nuclear testing in the Nevada desert in the 50's . Maybe just maybe cancer is up because of all the air pollution these big manufactures have been poisoning are air with for the past 100 yrs or so? If you are a non-smoker you are given special rights, if your a smoker you are being treated as a criminal. Chances are since allot of people who have never smoked are dying of lung cancer, chances are it the air pollution and not the smoking at all.

It's about time they stopped smokers from sharing their
cancer-causing 2nd-hand smoke with everyone else. One
thing I hate to see is a Parent smoking inside a car with all
the windows up and little kids in the back seat. You know
that cannot possibly be healthy for them. It's nice to go to
a place of business and not have to breath cigarette smoke
and come out smelling like we're the one that smoked. Why
do smokers want to light a match to the dollar bill? Isn't that
what it amounts to?

Smokers should have equal space indoors for smoking as non-smokers. I would propose legislation which would offer tax breaks to businesses for purchasing smoke filtering devices w/ hepa filters which can be mounted on ceilings and flush mounted in walls.

I love it. I can go to bowling alleys and bars and I can breathe. Also, I don't have to wash my clothes several times to get the smell out. I feel bad that smokers had to change their patterns but I still feel it's the right thing.

It means that I can actually breath for a change. Of course, in CA, the smoking laws have been tough for some time. Convicts can't even smoke in the local county jail. (and you should see these crybaby's complain)

This new law is great. I have cut my smoking in half. And I am getting more willpower to stop smoking more than ever.

i feel like they are trying to take away my rights to do something thats been legal for longer than i can remember............think about restaurants they have non smoking sections and thats great for those who choose not to smoke but has anyone noticed that usually to get to that section you have to walk thru the smoking section and that makes no sense at all.......it should be just the opposite

Same way that it happened in all other states I've been it. The state is telling me that no place wants my business, so they don't get it from me and all like me.
