Any of you know of a GOOD rock band (no nasaly vocals please) that uses a sitar as a permanent part of their music, not just co-starring in one or two of their songs? Or if any of you could suggest where I could find some Middle Eastern music, that'd be great too.

The avant-garde rock band Polvo, psychedelic rock bands Kula Shaker, The High Dials, and The Brian Jonestown Massacre, and the electronica group Morcheeba all use the sitar in many of their songs.

The Beatles had George Harrison play the sitar, but the greatest sitarist of all has to be Ravi Shankar

try AFTER FOREVER,its metal but still they sound quite melodic and they use sitar quite often.
